Why do you call it Anticiplate? Anticiplate is a word that Erik came up with. He is a product marketing consultant and has a knack for naming things.

Who takes the photographs on Anticiplate? Unless otherwise noted, I do!

What kind of camera do you use? I have a Canon SD 800 IS.  Nothing fancy Canon Rebel Digital SLR with a 2.4 Macro Lens. It has changed my life as an amateur food photographer. I don’t even know how to use the camera, and the pictures are worlds better!

Do you have any techniques behind your photography? Ha! No technique:) I use a lighting system I got from my local camera store. It has made all the difference in my photography. I also played with the manual settings on my camera. And, I am lucky enough to have lots of photographer friends like her and him that inspire me and give me pointers.

Who edits your site? Nobody. There will be mistakes. Feel free to email me when I need a correction!

Are you really a ballerina? Yes. Well, I was. I retired in August 2009 to begin my long process of becoming a Chef.  You can read about my company here and if you live in Seattle, by all means, go see the ballet. The company is phenomenal.

Is that really you in the pot? Yep! And it is not photo-shopped. That is really me. It was taken for an article that the former Seattle Post Intelligencer did on me in March 2008. You can read about how I got in and OUT of the pot, here.

How tall are you? I am tall, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall.

What kind of a dog is Cashew? Cashew is our 3 4-year old puggle (pug and beagle mix). He loves to eat, and “howls” at pork products. His has only bitten me once, and it was an accident. He was lunging for prosciutto di parma. (Doesn’t he look absolutely pissed in this photo. That is why I like it. The coat humiliates him!)
