Baked Almonds with Rosemary and Cayenne - Video

Today is an exciting day for me! My first posted video. Bear with me. I am an amateur. I know I say “um”. A lot.

I love these almonds because not only are they simple to make, but they are addictive for dinner parties or just to snack on during the week. These are a staple with a glass of red wine before all of my Sunday Night Dinners.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time:25-30 minutes

*Adapted from Bon Appetit

Non-stick vegetable oil spray

1 large egg white

1 tbsp. agave nectar

1 1/2 tbsp. dried rosemary

1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

2 c. whole blanched almonds

To Start: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment. Spray parchment with nonstick spray. Whisk egg white in medium bowl until foamy. Add sugar; whisk until frothy. Using a mortar and pestle, gring the rosemary into a fine powder. Whisk in rosemary, kosher salt, and cayenne. Add nuts; stirring to coat. Transfer to baking sheet, spreading nuts in single layer. Bake until golden, tossing every 10 minutes, about 25-30 minutes. Cool completely on sheet. These can be made in advance and stored in an air tight container.

Great job Kari! It’s so much more fun to watch a video than read a recipe. (coming from a non-cook)

Keep up the good work! :)

You did a great job! Being on camera is not easy. In fact, it’s terrifying. You did well. Yum to those almonds.
