A Dinner Party

There is nothing better in life than good friends, laughing till your stomach hurts, and amazing food. I am constantly blessed to have all of these things. This and this were the hits of that evening. This salad came in a close second, and well this could have been better. But, the best recipe was the combination of my favorite people, stories of grandeur, and whipped cream. Lots, and lots, of whipped cream.

My talented cousin (in law), Matt, took these pictures. He was kind enough to share them with me, and now with you. I also feel blessed by all of you guys, the readers. Anticiplate would not be what it is without you. Although you all don’t know it, every time someone comments or just reads my blog, I am filled with a joy inside that I cannot describe. Thank you for taking time to read this little gem in my life.

I hope you all have a great week. There is something to be said for a fresh start. There have been a lot of those around here.

    Kari,
I love the magazine style photos….and I also love your exposed white brick wall! Very New York (”you pay extra for that!”…Seinfeld episode).
    Very hip looking crowd!

I love that all the guys are wearing ties (and tucking them into their shirts). Combined with the desaturation / sepia tone, it feels very retro.

Lovely photos — and the food looks amazing. I agree with you about the fresh start. When Monday comes around all too fast it’s hard to remember to appreciate it; thanks for the reminder :)
